100% Whole Grain Spelt Instant Dosai
By now, You can make out how much I use Spelt Flour! It is one of the best thing I have every found to use with. It works so well for baking, gives a great texture, then I explored them on our regular cuisine like Rotis/Dosai. I love its taste and texture.
What you need?
for mix:
Spelt Flour - 1 cup
salt to taste
Water - 2 cups
Seasonings of choice (Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp, curry leaves, slit gr chillies, Hing, Coriander greens)
for the griddle:
Sesame oil - 1tbsp
How to make?
- Simply put everything together from the 'for mix' list in a bowl and mix well and do NOT let it sit for loong! Batter should be runny.
- Heat a heavy Iron griddle on medium heat, yes it works on the age old iron griddle (No more non-stick in my kitchen)
- Brush few drops of sesame oil and take a cup of the batter and just pour it over the griddle
- Give it few mins to cook then flip over. Leave it for few mins till it gets cooked.
