Pineapple Rasam/Soup


Food tastes very good with the right proportion of spices, I am yet to get there but my mom is a great inspiration to me!  People who have tasted her food literally fall for it especially her Rasam.    I like the fact how she likes to explore new things on cooking like pineapple rasam and take it another level.    This is her recipe!  Hope you  would try it some day!

What you need?

Pineapple - 1 cup
Tomato - 1 
Gr chillies - 2 
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Salt
Pepper
Cumin powder - 1/8 tsp
Asofoedita powder - 1/8 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Tadka
        Ghee 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp


How to make?


  1. Add 2 cups of water in a sauce pan with Turmeric powder
  2. Blend pineapple, tomato, ginger and gr chillies in a food processor
  3. Pour the mixture into the sauce pan, add salt, pepper and asofoedita/hing 
  4. Cook in low flame for 12 mins
  5. In another small pan, add a tsp of ghee and tadka mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves
  6. Add 1/8 tsp of cumin powder on top of the rasam and then add the hot tadka
  7. Add a Tbsp of chopped coriander leaves
