Passion Fruit Jalepeno Medley
Passion fruit taste is unique in its sourness which I classify as a divine taste. It takes so much sugar to make a yummy passion fruit lemonade and its okay to have it once in a while. I tried the combination of passion fruit with Jalepeno/Manzano pepper and it turned out to be a great spicy medley which goes well with Idli/Dosai or as a dip with anything cruncy. Its a simple recipe but tastes very good.
What you need?
Passion fruit pulp - 10 fruits
Jalepeno/Manzano (deseeded) - 5-6
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 Tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Hing/Asofoedita
Jaggery/Brown Sugar - 1Tbsp
How to make?
Heat Oil in a thick bottom pan, add mustard, hing and deseeded sliced jalepenos. Let it fry for 2 mins in the oil, then add the passion fruit pulp. Add salt and sugar. Simmer for about 10-12 mins. It wont reduce a lot but this is for all the ingredients to blend well.
Let it cool and store in a airtight container. It stays well for a couple of weeks in the refrigerator
